Waves lapping over rock
over strand and sand
as the footprint fades.
Shimmering shadow concealed
by the mantle of light.
Perfect stillness.
As heaven and earth collide,
The body transformed
soaring and diving,
dancing and dreaming.
Bathed in the brilliance
of coloured rays
emanating from deep
within her soul
Where brightest the light grows

New Paintings ‘Where Spirit Lies’ Exhibition

catch the rich harmony,
in celestial array.
The heavenly tempo
radiating new life of love and purity,
giving soul to our hearts,
the very essence of our being.
This voyage of discovery
through still and calm,
upon reflection, lasts [...]

‘Where Spirit Lies’

Maria | September 30, 2012

Maria says ‘Where Spirit Lies’ is a celebration, a prayer of thanksgiving for all that is good in this world. It’s a matter of just focusing-in on the positives; children’s laughter, a helping hand, a gift of flowers, a warm smile, a summer breeze or a river wild. A person reaches a stage in [...]

‘The Parting’

Maria | October 26, 2010

The Parting
They turned away
knowing they’d never return.
With heavy hearts
they began their journey,
lost in the shadows of memories,
veiled by the cloak of unknown.
They entered a land
of uncertainty,
unsure and alone,
emancipated by isolation
and segregated by fear.
They survive
because they are strong
and as they rise
they are reborn.
